TRUST IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS

A relationship without trust is like a cellphone with no service, all you can do is play games.

Trust is the reliance on the character, strength, ability, or truth of someone or something.

There is no healthy relationship without trust. And you can never be comfortable in a relationship if you don't completely trust the one you love.

Many young people and most old people find this concept confusing and are always struggling to reach the top of the mountain.

But how do we develop trust?

Can broken trust be rebuilt?

After some years of investigation and fact finding, I have developed 8 golden tips for trust-building. These tips might look very simple but understanding them is very important.

1. KEEP IT A 100% WITH YOUR WORDS AND LET YOUR ACTIONS FOLLOW.

This is a key point for building trust because we've got to believe in what you've got to say. You will be treated with respect and honesty if you keep your word. Keeping promises is a crack but be wise, don't make promises you cannot keep even if you have a thousand years to live.

2. COMMUNICATION 101.

One major reason why relationships sink is poor communication. Good communication encases being plain about what you have or have not committed to and what has been conceded. Without it, messages you've intended to send aren't the messages that are received.

3. VALUE.

Trust often is a product of viscidity. Value the relationship that you have and don't take them for granted. Regularly showing someone that you are there for them through good times and bad is a powerful way to build trust.

4. HONESTY.

This tip moves beyond just relationships and marriages. That proves it's power. No one finds a liar charming. The message you carry should always be the truth.

5. NEVER HIDE YOUR FEELINGS.

Be open about your emotions because trust is built on this. If people know that you care, trust becomes easy to find. Emotional intelligence as described in my previous article plays a role in trust building.

6. ACCEPT MISTAKES.

Being dishonest is attempting to hide your mistakes. Being open about your mistakes helps build trust with your partner. This is because they see you to be more like them. This doesn't make you weak. Everyone makes mistakes. Projecting perfection is a crappy deal.

7. RESPECT.

Here is another universally plain tip. One of the most emotionally undying ways we can be harmed by our partners is if they decry us or look at us with disdain. Lack of respect kills trust.

8. RECIPROCITY.

Finally, building trust in your marriage or relationship involves reciprocity. Give and take in other words. It is important for both partners to feel abundant with the stratum of giving and receiving.
