EMOTIONS

This topic is often left a little vague.

Everybody doesn’t want to talk about issues concerning pain because it makes their situation worse. Pain as we know is an uncomfortable feeling that tells you something may be wrong. This can be pinching, throbbing, stabbing, aching, and can be described in many ways. Physical pain is not our topic today.

Emotional pain is a deal-breaker, this type of pain originates from non-physical sources. This may be a result of grief, loss, regret, or in some cases the actions of others. It might lead to conditions like depression and ‘irregular’ anxiety. No matter the cause, emotional pain can affect other areas of your life.

Emotional pain is not a topic of the day because people think that it is less serious than physical pain. This is not true. There are common feelings that are associated with emotional pain that can have an effect on both your physical health and mental. Which is why we should pay enough attention to our emotional well being.

Everyone may experience these feelings from time to time. But when these feelings are persistent and intense they can affect your daily activities and your life as a whole. I have heard many motivational speakers say that positive thinking creates and everlasting state of happiness, but is that really true?

The majority of people out there today find themselves one way or the other depressed, sad, and anxious about a lot of things. They hit the liquors if their moods don’t change in a short while. Sadness is a natural emotion that is associated with disappointment and loss. It is natural, which means it fades with time. People treat these emotions like they are uncontrollable and make the whole sadness thing worse, probably with a cocktail of other disturbing emotions like unexpressed anger, anxiety, shame, and guilt, and the list continues.

The point here is that emotional pains are controllable and therefore we should take time to analyze what actually the problem is and deal with it as adults. It is childish to think that pain caused by an unwanted emotion is going to last forever. It probably will last for a few days and boom it all goes away.

The only time these pains stay is when we find ways to intensify them, by triggering related emotions to widen the damage caused by the parent emotion. There are so many ways to deal with emotional pain and this includes: talking to a friend, finding the solution to the problem hunting you, meditation (which most people don’t understand), in the very worst case seek medical attention, or talk to a psychologist.

Hey, our emotions are part of our genetic makeup. Deal with it before it eats you alive. Emotional pain will destroy you from the inside because it rests on the most vital part of your body: The Brain.

Have you been feeling bad lately?

What might be the cause?
